Social Media Manager

Tiny Horse is seeking a Social Media Manager. This position will focus on developing and managing the social media platforms for a public figure in the business and technology space. The position will sit in the organization’s creative division, reporting directly to the Senior Content Strategist.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong working understanding of social media platforms, experience in writing short and long-form content, and experience planning and optimizing content across social platforms.

Experience managing top-tier brand social accounts and/or top talent social accounts a plus. This candidate must be comfortable and confident working with high-profile clients. Communication is key.

Bilingual in Spanish and English a necessity. Expert in reading and writing in Spanish a necessity. Please do not apply if you do not fit these requirements.

  • Create and manage content calendars. Responsible for all social copywriting, scheduling, and publishing. Posts in both English and Spanish.
  • Ideate creative concepts that align with brand’s objectives across social. Work with the client to get approval on new creative ideas and work with creative team to ensure those creative concepts are executed accordingly.
  • Community management across channels, oftentimes required outside of normal business hours.
  • Developing monthly social reports and pulling insights to inform what works, what hasn’t, and what could.
  • Expert at selling through new social content ideas, pushing back when needed, and providing recommendations/best practices directly to public figure.
  • Confident demeanor. Experience working with public figures and/or talent a plus.
  • “Always-on” mentality. This client often travels internationally with non-typical work hours. Fast response and communication is key.
  • 3-4 years of experience managing talent social accounts and/or brand social accounts.
  • Social media expert. You understand best practices across platforms, you’re on the cusp of what’s new and what’s trending, you live and breathe social media. You know how to develop personal brands on social.
  • Strong communication skills. Experience working directly with clients. This role requires consistent communication with the client as it relates to content approvals and social management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and oftentimes, “always-on” environment. Given the nature of this social media work, fast responses and the ability to work odd hours may be necessary. Travel required.
  • A basic understanding of performance analytics, specifically as they relate to social media, and how to apply insights to content creation and strategy.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, reading and writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
